Car accident kills pregnant driver, unborn baby A car accident in east China on Friday killed a pregnant driver and her unborn baby, according to police. The accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. in the downtown of Hefei, capital of Anhui province, when, according to witnesses, a minibus and a car were headed for a head-on collision. The pregnant woman was driving the minibus and made an emergency brake to avoid the imminent crash, which minimized the collision to a more violent bump and averted a serious tragedy. The driver died later on the scene and the baby in her womb, suffering heavy pressure from the steering wheel, was confirmed dead in a local hospital, according to doctors of the hospital whorushed the scene
