Chinese get easy pass at badminton S.Korea Open

Chinese badminton players have done well in singles matches in the first round of the South Korea Badminton Open. All make through the next round.

Besides top seed Chen Hong, who received a bye, third-seeded Xia Xuanze and the fifth seed Bao Chunlai have both defeated their rivals to enter the second round.

Chen Yu and Zhu Weilun, both of whose opponents failed to appear, have added two more positions in the second round for the Chinese men's team.

In the women's singles, all four Chinese athletes have drawn byes.

Men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles qualifying matches will be held on Wednesday.
