The movements of Li Shigun and his daughter Li Ruili, operators of an illegal home-based kindergarten in central China's Henan province, are being closely monitored after a fatal accident in which seven children were killed.

At 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, a three-meter-high wall shared by the unlicensed kindergarten and a neighboring old, dilapidated house in Zhanggou Village, Xicun Town of Gongyi city, tumbled after being saturated with rainwater, instantly killing three of the children who were playing in the courtyard near the wall.

One more child died on the way to the hospital and another three died in hospital.

Four people were injured in the accident, including one teacher, who have all regained consciousness and are still receiving medical treatment in the ICU of the nearby hospital, said local sources.

The accident is under further investigation.
