China scooped their fourth diving title of the world swimming championships when Wu Minxia and Guo Jingjing won the women's synchronised three-metre springboard final on Thursday.

Wu, silver medallist in the individual one-metre springboard event, and Guo, the Olympic silver medallist on the three-metre board, compiled 347.31 points from their five final dives to make it four titles for China in six diving events at these championships so far.

Russia's Yulia Pakhalina and Vera Ilyina took the silver with 320.61 points and Germany's Ditte Kotzian and Conny Schmalfuss the bronze with 303.03.

Pakhalina shared victory in the event at the last world championships in Perth with Irina Lashko, who now competes for Australia and finished sixth in the one-metre springboard final last Monday.
