Ma Liangxing might coach Zhuhai's men's side ( 2004-01-01 10:48) (Xinhua) Former Chinese women's national coach Ma Liangxing is reported to be considering to take over as the coach of Chinese men's second division club Zhuhai, a Beijing- based newspaper reported on Wednesday. "I will fly to Zhuhai to take a look at the club," Ma told the Beijing Times. "But I am not sure whether to take the job." Ma, who was sacked after China were eliminated in the quarter- finals of the World Cup in October, said he is confident to coach a men's side for the first time in his career. "I would have quit football if I had no confidence," he said. But Ma, who had coached Shanghai women's team before being named the national coach in early 2002, admitted that he knows the difference between men's football and the women's. "I know there will be a lot of difficulties but I will never hang back in fear," Ma said. Ma said he knows little about the second division club. "I've only read some materials about their players. I feel they have some good players," Ma said. Ma, without a job after the World Cup loss, said Chinese league champions Shanghai Shenhua has hoped he could become an assistant coach next season. "So I have two options," he said.
