No need to pay if cabby smokes ( 2003-12-31 16:30) (China Daily)
Starting next month, passengers in Guangzhou can refuse to pay the fare if taxi drivers smoke while driving, reports Southern Metropolis News. Guangzhou becomes the first city enforcing such a tough smoking ban in China and the move is part of the municipal communication's move to improve service. Cabbies who violate the regulation face punishment including withdrawal of their licences.
