Ads on sexual health products spark debate ( 2003-12-18 17:20) (China Daily)
Many citizens of Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu Province, are angry
with the adverts for sex health products illuminated by street lights in the
evening.
These adverts were very eye-catching at night, and some of the words were
either harmful or misleading to teenagers, said a Nanjing resident surnamed He,
who usually goes to work during the night.
Besides, none of these adverts gave any explanation of the side effect of
these products, added He.
According to regulations on strengthening the management of medical treatment
adverts in October, 2000, it is unlawful to have such adverts on lights or
banners outdoors.
