Juvenile wants longer jail term

A juvenile delinquent pleaded
on Thursday that his jail term be increased, surprising judges of the Huadu
District People's Court, reports Southern Metropolis News.
Li was sentenced to 10 months in jail for robbery but he asked the judges to
mete out a heavier punishment because of hatred towards his parents.
He said he preferred to be in prison than return home.
The judges have decided to consider Li's request, the first time a criminal
has asked for a lengthier jail term in Guangdong Province.
