Fake-document dealer bilks client ( 2003-12-12 17:10) (China Daily)
A Beijinger was cheated out of 3,600 yuan (US$435) by a document
counterfeiter from whom he ordered a fake certificate, reports Beijing Youth
Daily.
Han asked the fake-document dealer to supply him with a high school
graduation diploma for his daughter.
The dealer first asked Han to deposit 600 yuan (US$73) in his account to make
the document.
Later, the man ordered Han to pay him 2,000 yuan (US$240) in insurance money
for two cars, saying he would return the money when he delivered the document.
Several minutes later, the dealer called Han again, this time asking him to
hand over another insurance deposit of 1,000 yuan (US$120). Feeling cheated, Han
called the newspaper's hotline to complain.
