Two men from East China's Anhui Province stole a more than 400 metre-long
telecommunications cable, interrupting telephone service at some 400 households
in the Haidian District on Tuesday, reports Beijing Morning Post.
Police noticed five suspicious men hanging around a transformer substation on
Tuesday morning.
Under questioning, they confessed that the two from Anhui had stolen the
cable, while another man was a scrap materials dealer and the other two, from
Hebei Province, were buying the cable.
