Homicide ruled out in Kor Shou Liang's death

The Shanghai municipal public security bureau announced Wednesday that police
have ruled out the possibility of homicide in the death of stunt jumper Kor Shou
Liang, who was found dead Tuesday morning at an apartment in Shanghai.
Kor came to Shanghai on Dec. 4 to shoot an advertisement. From 18:00 p.m.
Monday to 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, Kor attended three parties, drinking together with
friends. Then, Kor and a friend surnamed Xie returned to Xie's apartment in
Hongqiao Street.
Around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Xie and Kor's driver found Kor lying unconscious
on a sofa. They called the 120 emergency center immediately. Medical workers
confirmed that Kor was dead.
The police said that they received a phone call at 10:56 a.m. from the
medical workers, who said that Kor's body has been sent to a hospital.
Kor was fully dressed when found in the apartment. An examination showed that
there were no signs of violence on his body, but Kor's blood contained alcohol,
according to the bureau.
Some of Kor's family members have arrived in Shanghai. They said that Kor had
suffered from asthma.
In 1992, Kor jumped the Great Wall on a motorcycle, and the Yellow River five
years later in a car. Also a popular movie star and singer, he was very popular
on the mainland, as well as in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
