T'ai chi blossoms for Peony Festival

Thirty thousand residents in Luoyang descended on the city's Luopu Park to
practise T'ai chi ch'uan, a Chinese martial art and calisthenic exercise,
together over the weekend, reports Henan Daily.
They were rehearsing for a performance to be held at the opening ceremony of
the 22nd Luoyang Peony Festival next May.
According to the paper, the organizer of the performance plans to apply for a
Guinness World Book of Records entry for the largest t'ai chi ch'uan
demonstration.
