A man in Xuanwei, Kunming announced his intention to become a "man-made handsome guy" following recent reports in the Chinese media about young women undergoing plastic surgery to improve their looks, reports Life News.

Since last October, Fang Hua has been contemplating surgery on his bulging cheekbones, features he has detested for more than 20 years.

Fang previously consulted surgeons twice about the procedure, but decided against it after doctors told him of the risks involved.

But encouraged by the "man-made beauties" he's read about, Fang plans to undergo the operation, with the support of his family and friends.
