Local property prices should not fluctuate wildly now that the Shanghai Municipal Housing & Land Resources Bureau is carrying out a city-wide rectification campaign to rein in the land market, Shanghai Labour Daily reports.

If the government controls the land market well, property prices should remain steady.

The city is examining the tenure of land at the town level as well as that of development zones or parks.
