Nicole dazzles on red carpet ( 2003-12-09 10:32) (Agencies) Nicole Kidman last night took her first steps on the first of many red carpets rolled out around the world to promote her latest film, Cold Mountain.
While the jewels she wore draped around her neck looked like the sort Lenny Kravitz would dig, there was no sign of the groovemeister - who is her current flame. Others who turned out for the glamorous affair included director Anthony Minghella and Kidman's co-stars Jude Law, Renee Zellweger, Natalie Portman and Kathy Baker. Zellweger certainly looks to have immersed herself in the role of Bridget Jones for the upcoming sequel, due for release next year. The petite actress famously beefed up for the role on doughnuts and pizza before shedding it, then having to chow down again for the sequel. Her efforts at changing shape for a role make Robert de Niro and Eric Bana look like lightweights. But she has certainly been making the most of her enhanced assets, squeezing herself into a black strapless number. Zellweger and Law are not travelling to Sydney for the premiere next week, leaving the red carpet duties to Kidman and Minghella. They'll attend the black-tie premiere at the State Theatre and special
after-party at the Sheraton on the Park on December 17.
