Worker steals, smuggles tools ( 2003-12-04 17:02) (China Daily)
A migrant worker from Sichuan Province lost his job and was jailed for three
months after stealing a set of tools he planned to sell in his home town,
Shanghai Morning Post reports.
Lin received a call from home asking him to come back to visit his
grandfather who fell ill in early July.
After receiving permission from his employer, he packed his luggage,
concealing a set of Bosch tools stolen from work inside, thinking could sell it
for a good price back home.
But his nervous demeanour aroused the suspicions of security staff at the
long-distance bus station.
Lin never made it back home to visit his sick grandfather but was put behind
bars instead.
