Schedule for Men's Basketball Olympic Tournament final competitions has been jointly confirmed by the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the media networks,the Athens 2004 Organizing committee (ATHOC) declared Monday.

According to the schedule, the basketball finals will be held from 14 to 28 August, 2004. The preliminaries will be held at theHelliniko Indoor Arena, with a capacity of 15,600, while the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will take place at the OAKA Olympic Indoor Hall, with a capacity of 19,200.

The second round of the tournament will be held from 24 to 28 August 2004, at the Indoor Hall of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex.

According to the organisers, teams qualified as following: New Zealand, Spain, Argentina, Serbia & Montenegro, People's Republic of China and Italy in Group A; Australia, Angola, United States, Lithuania, Puerto Rico and Greece in Group B.
