Managers from 14 enterprises rushed to Zhuhai on Monday to hire veteran soldiers who formerly served at the Macao Garrison, reports Zhuhai Special Zone Daily.

More than 90 per cent of the former soldiers who served at the People's Liberation Army Garrison in Macao secured work contracts immediately following the farewell ceremony held in their honour.

Veterans from both the Hong Kong and Macao garrisons are well-trained, hard-working and "of the best quality", said Chen, the manager of a Shenzhen-based company.

Many enterprises have hired such veterans before and report being very satisfied with their work performance.
