Trio arrested 6 years after murder ( 2003-11-26 17:21) (China Daily) Three people who killed a man
six years ago in a dispute over a 3-yuan (36 US cents) minibus fare discrepancy
were finally arrested by police last week, reports Beijing Evening News.
In 1997, Yang Jun, Suo Qing and Liu Feng operated a private vehicle as a
minibus between Deshengmen and the Changping District.
In August of that year, a doctor surnamed Li boarded the minibus and was
asked to pay 5 yuan (60 US cents).
Dr Li insisted that the fare should be 2 yuan (24 US cents), then reminded
the three that he knew their vehicle licence number and could complain to the
relevant government departments.
Annoyed by Li's warning, the trio drove the doctor to a secluded place and
beat him to death.
