As other bystanders were tackling a thief, a man tried to pocket a stolen necklace the robber had dropped in the confusion. He was turned in to police along with the thief, reports Daily Sunshine.

The incident took place at a bus stop in Shenzhen on Friday afternoon, said the victim, Guo.

She and a few passers-by pursued the thief after the necklace was yanked from her neck.

A man standing nearby picked up the necklace dropped by the thief but refused to return it to Guo.

Both men were taken to police, and the necklace was found hidden in the man's cigarette pack.
