( 2003-11-25 14:15) (Agencies)

Jermaine O'Neal notched up 22 points and 19 rebounds as the Indiana Pacers beat the Orlando Magic 89-78, handing the woeful Magic their 13th consecutive loss in NBA play on Monday.

Orlando played without star Tracy McGrady, who missed the game due to a fever, as the Magic slipped to an NBA worst 1-13.

Ron Artest added 17 points for the Pacers, who have won five straight games and had more than enough balanced scoring to subdue Orlando.

Austin Croshere scored 15 points for Indiana, who struggled early against an Orlando team that showed some first half fire under new coach Johnny Davis, who was coaching his first game at home.

Juwan Howard scored 17 points to lead Orlando's scorers, while Donnell Harvey had 13 points and nine rebounds.

Knicks 94 Celtics 88

In Boston, Shandon Anderson scored a season-high 28 points to lead the New York Knicks past the Celtics 94-88.

The Knicks trailed by 10 points at the half but out-scored Boston 34-12 in the third quarter to take the lead for good, despite missing Allan Houston and Keith Van Horn with injuries.

Dikembe Mutombo added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Knicks, while Kurt Thomas had 14 points.

Vin Baker had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Celtics, while Paul Pierce had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Pistons 94 Hawks 89

In Atlanta, Chauncey Billups scored 24 points to lead the Detroit Pistons past the Hawks 94-89.

Tayshaun Prince added 22 points for the Pistons, while Ben Wallace pulled down 15 rebounds.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim led the Hawks with 26 points and 14 rebounds
