Vladimir Radmanovic scored 25 points, Ronald Murray topped 20 points for the ninth time and the Seattle SuperSonics defeated the Washington Wizards 88-85 Sunday night despite getting just one point from their reserves.
Radmanovic scored eight of Seattle's final 11 points, including a 3-pointer. He shot 10-of-19 from the field, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. Rashard Lewis added 24 and Murray had 21.
Radmanovic's split a pair of free throws with 17 seconds left to increase Seattle's lead to 84-81. Ansu Sesay then hit one of two free throws to increase the lead to four with 11.9 seconds to play. It was the only point scored by Seattle's non-starters.
Jared Jeffries then hit a turnaround 3-pointer with 8.9 seconds left. Lewis made two free throws, and Juan Dixon attempted to tie the game with a 3-pointer but was off the mark.
Dixon came off the bench to score a season-high 17 points. Kwame Brown also had 17. Gilbert Arenas had 15 before missing the final 4:36 with an abdominal injury.
The Wizards have lost six of their last eight games, while the Sonics snapped a three-game losing streak.
Seattle led most of the game, holding the Wizards to a franchise-low 24 first-half points. Radmanovic's 3-pointer pushed the lead to 50-33 with 5:17 to play in the third quarter before Washington closed the gap in a hurry and took a 63-62 lead on Dixon's 3-pointer with 9:25 to play.
