Dongfeng Motor vows to double sales, profit
( 2003-11-24 13:49) (Xinhua)

Dongfeng Motor Co., a leading Sino-Japan auto maker, plans to double its current unit sales and revenue to achieve a double-digit profit margin by the end of 2007, company officials said.

Dongfeng President and CEO Katsumi Nakamura unveiled the company's four-year mid-term business plan for 2004 through 2007 on Monday.

Nakamura said this goal, if achieved, will help the company establish a unique competitive edge in local and international markets.

"We aim to create value and profitable growth as we establish Dongfeng Mortor Company as a globally competitve automotive manufacturer," he said.

Nakamura said the company will continue to pool the resources and experience of both Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, the two partners in the joint venture.
