Local hospitals are establishing co-operative relationships with five-star hotels. Ren'an Hospital has officially joined hands with the Huating Hotel to meet the hotel's medical service needs, Shanghai Morning Post reports.

By special arrangement, Ren'an Hospital has become the hotel's appointed hospital.

If guests at the hotel require medical attention, the hotel will send them directly to Ren'an Hospital. Guests need not pay for their care at the hospital but can settle the account with the hotel.

The hotel used to have at least one medical officer in-house at all times but still found it difficult to meet demand due to limited staff and treatment facilities.
