Most college students in Shanghai welcome the newly revised marriage registration regulations, which permit school marriages, though few are likely to tie the knot, Jiefang Daily reports.

The Youth League Committee of Fudan University recently conducted a survey in which 96.9 per cent of the interviewed students applauded the new regulations, but 99 per cent said they would not consider getting married while still in school. A junior majoring in sociology said students just want to have the right to marry. Whether or not they actually do so is another matter.
