A pregnant woman jumped into the Huangpu River on Saturday night after discovering her husband was involved with another woman, Jiefang Daily reports.

Just after 11 pm, marine police received a call that a woman had jumped off the flood wall at Huangpu Park near the Bund.

Four officers rushed to the scene in a police vessel and rescued her.

Wang, 24 and pregnant, took a taxi to the Bund intending to drown herself after discovering her husband's infidelity and throwing out his belongings.
