Silent suspect sentenced to 4 years

A robbery suspect who refused to confess to his crime was sentenced to four
years in prison on Monday in Anshan, reports North Morning Post.
Wang and an accomplice attacked and robbed a vendor of 70 yuan (US$8.50)
worth of batteries on August 13.
When caught in the act by police, Wang refused to make a statement. His
accomplice, meanwhile, ran away.
The Tiedong District Court announced the guilty verdict based on overwhelming
evidence, even though Wang never did confess.
