Agent thwarts rape attempt

A landlord has been arrested for the attempted rape of a real estate agent
whose services he had just contracted, Shanghai Evening Post.
On September 8, Mei contacted Tao about an ad for an apartment he was selling
and offered to work as his agent. At about 11 that morning, Mei went to Tao's
apartment to sign a trust contract.
But when Tao and Mei were left alone in the apartment, Tao closed the door,
saying he wanted to show Mei the property licence. He then pushed Mei down on a
bed and tried to rape her.
Mei fought him until she was able to rush out the door and call police. Tao
was inside the apartment when officers arrived.
