Migrating birds flock to Panjin ( 2003-11-07 17:34) (China Daily)
This autumn, hundreds of thousands of migrating birds have gathered in
Panjin, Liaoning Province, to rest and replenish their energy stores on their
long journey south, reports North Morning Post.
The Shuanghekou Nature Reserve recently established in Panjin provides an
ideal environment and rich food sources for a wide variety of migrating birds,
including cranes, bitterns, widgeons and wild geese.
Flocks of migrating birds can be seen flying over Panjin or seeking food from
the pastures and rivers.
