Snow blankets Badaling earlier

Snow has fallen in rural northwest Beijing about one month earlier than
usual, reports Xinhua.
The Badaling section of the Great Wall in the Yanqing District is now covered
by snow that began falling on Wednesday morning. And it doesn't seem likely to
melt soon, as temperatures in Beijing continue to remain low.
The early snow follows a chillier-than-usual autumn caused by cold air from
Inner Mongolia. The capital city's temperature dropped by more than 10 degrees
centigrade in one day.
