An environmentally-friendly marriage ceremony took place in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, last Tuesday as the new couple rode a bicycle to their wedding ceremony at a marriage registration bureau, reports Xinhua.

Instead of taking cars to the wedding as most couples around the nation do, the groom and his bride rode a two-seater bicycle along the busy city streets.

And a group of the couples' friends followed on bikes as well.

The newlyweds said they wanted to promote bicycle-riding as an environmentally friendly and healthy activity.
