Dong Shuangqing, a taxi driver in Changsha, has been arrested for lying to and misleading police, reports Xiaoxiang Morning Post.

At 2:00 pm on October 18, the organizing committee of the Fifth National Inter-city Games received a call warning that a bomb had been placed in Helong Stadium and was set to explode at the games' opening ceremony.

Police made a careful search in and around the stadium and conducted a rigorous inspection of the communication facilities after the call.

When a second call was made at 4:00 pm, police were able to track the suspect to his home.

In a police interrogation, Dong admitted that he had lied in revenge against traffic cops who had fined him several times this year over matters he believed had something to do with the games.
