Restaurants provide separate servings ( 2003-10-28 17:08) (China Daily)
Tourist-frequented restaurants in Shanghai are likely to be required to
provide separate servings of dishes, according to the tourism administration,
Shanghai Evening Post reports.
In the wake of the SARS outbreak, local restaurants were obliged to offer
separate servings to diners so as to prevent the spread of the disease.
The administration said that the Municipal Tourism Regulations have been
presented to the Party Congress. If approved, the regulations will legally
obligate restaurants in the city's tourism sector to serve food to patrons in
individual dishes.
