Chen Yiyao, a part-time carnival worker, was injured Sunday afternoon by the "Mad Mouse" roller coaster at a fun fair in Pudong, Shanghai Evening Post reports.

Chen was trying to retrieve a tourist's wig after it fell to the ground within the rails of the "Mad Mouse" when he was struck by the passing coaster cars. He blacked out after hitting his head on an iron rail.

Chen was rushed to the nearby Dongfang Hospital where he was diagnosed with serious bruising to his liver and kidneys.
