The forum on international merger, acquisition and regrouping, which will be held from Dec. 19 to 20 in Beijing, will include a major forum, six parallel forums and a TV forum.

Sources with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission under the State Council (SASAC) said Friday that the major forum will discuss international merger, acquisition and regrouping in terms of development and trends, opportunities and challenges faced by China and China's economic development strategy.

The six parallel forums will focus on topics concerning multinational corporations and the opportunities, strategies, methods and risks of Chinese enterprises; Chinese state-owned economy distribution and structure adjustment; models of management integration and competitiveness lifting; legislation on mergers and Chinese enterprises' regrouping; merger, acquisition and regrouping of listed companies and international mergers and fund raising; and opportunities, methods and risks faced by Chinese enterprises and case analyses of international merger and regrouping.

The TV forum is on "merger, acquisition and regrouping -- the bridge for global economic integration."

The forum is jointly held by SASAC and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
