Jerry Stackhouse has took arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, according to
the club on Wednesday.
Wizards president of basketball operations Ernie Grunfeld said that the
surgery was successful and he would recover in the most efficient and effective
way to go back to play.
Stackhouse, the third overall pick in the 1995 NBA draft, averaged 21.5
points in 70 games with the Wizards last season.
Last week he was diagnosed with chondromalacia, a wearing of the lining of
the kneecap.
