NBA: Jazz defeat Mavs 92-76 in exhibition ( 2003-10-22 15:47) (Agencies) Maurice Williams scored 17 points, and Matt Harpring added 15 as the Utah Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks 92-76 in an exhibition game Tuesday night.
Andrei Kirilenko added 11 points and six rebounds for the Jazz (5-1).
Dirk Nowitzki paced the Mavericks (3-4) with 19 points, all in the first half.
Mavericks reserve center Shawn Bradley sustained a cut over his left eye in the second quarter when his head was struck by the knee of teammate Antawn Jamison while Bradley went after a loose ball. Bradley needed nine stitches and did not play in the second half, watching from the bench.
Antoine Walker and Tony Delk did not play for the Mavericks. They were acquired from the Boston Celtics in a five-player trade Monday.
Utah held a 48-41 halftime lead and carried a 66-60 advantage into the final quarter.
The Mavericks had 22 turnovers, two more than the Jazz.
