HK chief executive to attend APEC Economic Leaders Meeting

Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung
Chee Hwa will depart for Bangkok, Thailand, on Oct. 18 to attend the 11th
Economic Leaders Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the
government press office said Thursday.
The two main themes for the Economic Leaders Meeting to be held on Oct. 20
and 21 are "Partnership for the Future" and "Counter- Terrorism."
During Tung's absence, the chief secretary for administration Donald Tsang
will be the acting chief executive.
