Health spending grows fastest ( 2003-10-17 15:47) (China Daily)
Urban residents in Guangdong spent 6.5 per cent more on consumable items from January to September, Nanfang Daily quotes a survey as saying. Medical and health expenditures experienced the fastest growth at 26.6 per cent, which has been attributed to the SARS outbreak. And by the end of September, there were 4.35 cars for every 100 households on average, up 19.5 per cent from one year ago.
