Cold weather colours leaves ( 2003-10-17 15:38) (China Daily)
The sudden sharp drop in temperatures will cause the leaves on the trees covering Fragrant Hill to turn red earlier than usual this year, reports Beijing Evening News. Normally, the leaves begin turning red in November, attracting tourists from home and abroad as well as locals eager to view nature's artistry. Experts say this year's autumn colours, which have already begun to appear, should last through the end of the year.
