The dawn of the "Internet Age" has led to the creation of a new job title -
chief privacy officer (CPO) - at some large enterprises to ensure the
confidentiality of key business data and online transactions, reports Economic
Information Daily.
Legend, a leading IT company, first established the position to safeguard
both internal and external affairs related to the company's business secrets as
well as the private contents of personnel and client files.
Increased use of the Internet by businesses in China has generated the need
for such positions.
