A group of swallows are spending their nights in Hou's house in Jinan, capital city of Shandong Province, now that unexpectedly colder weather has descended on the region, reports Xinhua.

Because of the sharp and sudden temperature drop, to as low as 3 degrees centigrade, more than 40 swallows have been flying into Hou's home via a chimney to warm themselves nightly. During the day when the outdoor temperature increases, the swallows fly back out again, only to return in the evening.
