Citizen volunteers to counsel the suicidal

In an attempt to prevent
people from committing suicide by jumping from the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge,
36-year-old Chen Si is voluntarily providing psychological counselling services.
Chen, who runs a grocery store, learned through the media that many suicides
have occurred from people jumping off the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.
He decided to try to help these special group of people conquer their
feelings of despair and become more optimistic.
Since September 20, Chen has advertised his services on the
bridge.
