Thief returns ID card by post ( 2003-10-09 13:18) (China Daily) A Beijing woman was surprised
to find her ID card, which was stolen earlier, returned to her in a letter from
Hubei Province on Saturday, reports Beijing Star Daily.
In September, Yuan Li found her purse was stolen on a bus, with over 400 yuan
(US$48) in cash, her ID card and its duplicate, as well as a letter to a doctor
in Hubei Province.
The thief took the cash but sent Yuan's ID card and other certificates to the
doctor He Guangzhong whom Yuan wrote to.
He, who had earlier treated Yuan, works in No 95329 army hospital in Malong
County of Hubei Province.
Yuan, who had a recurrence of her old ailment, wrote to He asking for
help.
