Three men in their 20s have been sentenced to life imprisonment, 15 and 12 years respectively for buying and selling Ecstasy tablets, www.eastday.com reports.

Shanghai residents Lu Zhijie and Huang Weiye became acquainted at a local night club; and decided to go into drug trafficking together.

Last September, the two got hold of nearly 40,000 yuan (US$4,830), which they intended to use to traffic in Ecstasy and "make their fortunes". The pair then arranged to buy 1,300 "E" tablets from a Guangdong Province native. But Huang was arrested when he went to collect the drugs.
