Maps going out of date quickly

A Shanghai map is good for
only about four months as the city's skyline has been changing quickly, Jiefang
Daily reports.
The city's maps used to be up-to-date for a decade or so but in recent years,
fresh mapping is required three to four times a year to record the changes,
according to Shanghai Mapping Institute.
The map is a hot item and every year witnesses 5 million copies sold.
To make things easier, more classified maps have come into being - such as
for shopping, driving, bars and restaurants and real
estate.
