Assignment proves a wash-out

A teacher surnamed Chen gave his grade-two students at the Fudan Experimental
School a special assignment: to wash their parents' feet. But most of the
students have not completed their work, Shanghai Evening Post reports.
While 104 students received the assignment, only 24 have bathed their
parents' feet as requested.
Chen said the purpose of the assignment was mainly to see how honest students
were and to encourage them to respect their hard-working parents.
But students did not think so. Some of them even doubt if the teacher was
trying to promote himself by giving such an attention-grabbing
assignment.
