Suicidal woman gives up attempt

A 20-something local woman asked firefighters to carry her down from the
balcony where she had been sitting for almost two hours with the intention of
committing suicide early Wednesday morning, Shanghai Evening Post reports.
At about 2:30 am on Wednesday, the woman's downstairs neighbours were
awakened by her crying.
As she sat on her 12th-floor balcony saying she wanted to jump, the
neighbours called "119" for help.
Nearly two hours later, the shaken woman finally gave up on the idea of
killing herself and asked firefighters at the scene to help her.
"My legs are completely numb now. Please come up and take me inside," she
said.
