Manager wins harassment case ( 2003-09-18 13:45) (China Daily) A middle-aged woman was
ordered to pay 2,000 yuan (US$240) in compensation for sexually harassing a man
over the past three years, reports Beijing Morning News.
Du, a manager for a company in Beijing, said the woman had frequently
suggested they start an affair since they first met in early 2000. Liu, the
defendant, continued to pester him with phone calls, letters and short cellphone
messages even though he always refused her requests.
In September 2001, Liu promised she would stop bothering him, but failed to
keep to her word. Du sued Liu for 20,000 yuan (US$2,400) and an
apology.
