Shenzhen started re-registering Internet cafes this week in a move to shut down small and unsafe establishments, reports Guangzhou Daily.

Only those Internet cafes that have more than 60 computers and occupy space of at least 150 square metres will be allowed to remain open.

Cafes considered unsafe by fire officials have to move before October 15.
